Transforming Employee Engagement for a National Healthcare Company

A Fortune 150 company with 25,000 employees across 40 states, was growing fast—but its internal communications weren’t keeping up. Employees reported feeling disconnected from the company’s mission, workforce surveys revealed declining understanding of priorities, and engagement scores lagged behind industry peers.

We launched the company’s first enterprise-wide engagement survey in four years, benchmarking engagement against competitors. We designed a leadership communication framework, increasing executive visibility and transparency. An inclusion strategy improved communication for diverse, nationwide employees, and optimized digital platforms ensured that employees received timely, relevant messaging.

Results were substantial. Employee trust and engagement scores rose by 75%, leadership communication effectiveness jumped from 58% to 83%, and workforce alignment with corporate priorities improved from 66% to 75%. Corporate intranet engagement increased by 27%, and these efforts contributed to a $67M to $131M revenue increase through stronger workforce cohesion and productivity.
